These CVC Blending Task Cards help emergent readers to segment and blend the sounds of three-letter (CVC) words. Each card offers three tasks: isolating the sound of each letter with black dots, blending the sounds with dashed lines, and saying the word quickly with a black arrow.
The zip file contains color and black and white pdf documents including 45 print-ready Task Cards with 9 words for each vowel set, 5 Word Charts, and 45 Classroom Charts. The vocabulary is restricted to three word families for each vowel set. The Cards can be laminated as is or folded in half to create a self-checking task card activity. The Word Charts give students a vocabulary reference for each vowel set. The large Classroom Charts are perfect for full-class demonstrations or posted to a classroom wall.
